CLIMATE


Bulgaria has a moderate continental in the north and a Mediterranean climate in the south. Winters are milder in the south. Summers are generally warm, a bit cooler in the seaside regions.

The average monthly temperatures in winter/in summer: from -4ºC/24ºC in the central and southern part of the country, to 0ºC/28ºC in the north. The average water temperature in summer is 21ºC.


Precipitation

Annual total precipitation: 500 mm in the central Bulgaria, 600 mm in the north, 650 mm in the south, 1200 mm in the mountainous regions.
