The Caves


Barbaro Caves – this area is famous for the rock formations – several caves and swim throughs that are situated at relatively shallow depth. The spot is exposed to strong currents.
Location: north eastern coast of Corfu

Canyon – a great dive for experienced divers. The entrance to the canyon is situated at a depth of 33 m and the point of exit at a depth of 24 m. Groupers and barracudas can be seen in this area.

F495 – the wreck of the German navy lies at a depth of 9 to 15 m. The ship was bombed by Italian artillery and sank in 1943. The parts of the wreck as well as some cargo are littering the sandy sea bed.

House Reef – a colourful spot with rich marine life. The area is protected from strong currents and thus it is good for training and suitable for non experienced divers. The depth ranges from 2 to 20 m. Advanced divers can enjoy a deeper (up to 40 m) dive after the second plateau.

Light House – a great dive spot with amazing rock formations (walls, pinnacles) and abundant marine life (morays, large groupers, seals). This dive is weather-dependent and only for advanced divers.

Little Rio – waters around this small islet contain plenty of attractions – beautiful reefs, amazing rock formations (canyons, walls, caves) and abundant marine life (parrot fish, groupers, morays, lobsters, scorpion fish). The maximum depth is 16 m.

Nissopoulo – a wreck of an ancient ship lies at a depth of 26 m. The sea bed is littered with ancient artifacts – amphorae, anchors, etc. The area is a home to some large groupers and other marine life.

Odysseus – one of the most beautiful and popular dive sites in Corfu. Divers will enjoy canyons, caves, walls and colourful reefs, as well as the recent finding – Southern Cross. This is a deep dive – up to 60 m.

Poseidon Gate – this is a multi-level dive with maximum depth of 15 m. The main attractions include unique rock formations such as caverns and swim throughs, as well as rich sea life – octopi, morays, barracudas.

Sky Hole – a beautiful spot with excellent rock formations. It starts at a depth of 10 m, divers swim through a tunnel that leads to a large cave. Plenty of light coming from the open ceiling creates a beautiful view. Rare sponges can be found in this place.
