Generally shops are open Monday–Saturday from 8am to 6:30pm (lunch break from 12 to 1:30pm). On Saturdays shop are open from 8am to 4pm.

National dish

Kartoffelsalat – potato salad
Birnen, Bohnen und Speck – salad with pears, green beans and bacon
Kartoffeln mit Leinöl und Quark – dish consisting of boiled potatoes, soft white cheese and linseed oil
Knödeln – round poached or boiled potato or bread dumplings (Semmelknödel), often with various fillings, for example of liver (Leberknödel)
Wiener Schnitzel – fried breaded veal or pork
Kümmelfleisch – a goulash soup with chives and onions
Tafelspitz – simmered beef often served with mild apple-horseradish sauce (Apfelkren)

Passport/Visa

The passport and visa requirements for persons visiting Liechtenstein are the same as for Switzerland. Citizens of the European Union, Andorra, Croatia, Iceland, Monaco and San Marino do not need visa for entry into Liechtenstein. Only a valid passport is required. Citizens of the Schengen Zone are entitled to travel freely within Schengen with the National Identity Card.
