Billinghurst Cave – one of the longest and biggest cavern in Gozo offers the colourful scenery of sponges, lace coral and other small marine life. The bottom of the cave is at 27 m. The Railway Tunnel leads from Billinghurst Cave to another cave.

Location: west of Reqqa Point

Cathedral Cave (The Blue Dome) – this is one of the most famous caves in Gozo. It is often called the Blue Dome due to the spectacular view one can experience in the cave – blue sunlight coming through the arch. The entrance starts in about 6 m and the maximum depth in the cave is 12 m. The maximum depth outside the cave is about 30 m.

Location: between Forna Point and Reqqa Point, Ghasri Valley

Crocodile Rock – it is a crocodile-shaped rock (if you look more closely). There are some drop-offs around the rock, some large boulders and a very colourful cave, often called Coral Cave according to the brightly coloured lace coral in the interior.

Location: between Dwejra Point and Fungus Rock

Dwejra Point (The Blue Hole) – there is an beautiful archway into the open sea from this hole. The hole itself is covered with colourful small marine life. Near the Blue Hole one can encounter the foot of the Azure Window and a large cavern with a sandy bottom.

Fessej Rock (Black Rock) – this is a free standing, tall, circular and vertical rock. It rises about 15 m above the water and plunges uprightly 50 m to the seabed. The average depth here is 30 m.

Fungus Rock – it is rather a large islet than a simple rock. The area around Fungus Rock is full of boulders, the water is pristine and one can encounter the fish of bigger size. Rocks are covered with colourful sponges and coral. The maximum depth is beyond 60 m.

Quarry (Qala) – the main attraction here is sunken spectacular reef. The average depth is 15 m. One can found huge anchors on the seabed.

Reqqa Point – the main attraction here is a large (about 150 m) cave with two chambers, an air pocket and even a visitor’s book. Near this cave there is another one called the Chimney or Bottle Cave due to its shape. The maximum depth is 60 m.

Location: Reqqa Point, the northernmost point of Gozo

San Dimitri – this area is well-known for its caves, including many unexplored ones. There are some caves that can be explored by beginners and some ideal for experienced divers. The maximum depth is beyond 60 m.

Location: south of San Dimitri Point, the westernmost point of Gozo

Twin Arches (Double Arch Reef) – the scenery here is spectacular and there is a plenty of fish species. Double Arch is a T-shaped reef and there are two natural arches built on each other (hence the name). The maximum depth is 36 m.

Location: east of Xwieni Bay, north coast of Gozo

Xlendi Cave and Reef – the cave is a shallow tunnel through some cliffs. The reef is located in the middle of Xlendi Bay and one can enjoy this headland full of flora and fauna on their way back from the cave.

Xlendi wreck – the wreck lies upside down at 45 m deep. Xlendi wreck is an old 80 m long ferryboat that was used to transport cargo between Malta and Gozo. MV Xlendi was scuttled off in 1999.
