CLIMATE



Climate of the United Kingdom is moderate, mid-latitude oceanic. Winters are cool whereas summers are warm. Showers are very frequent. Northern Ireland, Wales and the western part of England have the mildest climate but they are also the wettest and the windiest regions in the UK.

The average monthly temperatures in winter: from 3ºC in the northeast to 7ºC in the southwest. The average monthly temperatures in summer: from 12ºC in the north to 17ºC in the south. The average water temperatures (winter/summer): Edinburgh 7/12ºC, Glasgow 8/12ºC, Belfast 9/12ºC.
