Anchor Reef – a wall dive created by big boulders with many holes and caverns. There are also numerous anchors (hence the name). The maximum depth is 36 m.

Location: northwest of Cominotto

Type of dive: boat dive

Sea bed: rock

Requirements: BSAC Sports Diver, PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

 


Blue Lagoon – this place is well-known for its unspoilt beauty and pure nature as on Comino one can’t found roads nor cars. Blue Lagoon is an amazingly blue sheltered inlet and, at the same time, the main attraction of Comino. It is a great place for snorkellers and divers. The maximum depth is 12 m.

Location: Blue Lagoon, Cominotto

Requirements: BSAC Ocean Diver, PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

 


Canyonbesides many drop-offs, tunnels, canyons and other rock formations one can also find the remains of a traditional fishing boat – Luzzu. The maximum depths is 20 m.

Location: northern part of Comino

Type of dive: boat/shore dive

Sea bed: snad/rock

Requirements: BSAC Sports Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

 


Cominotto Cave (Alex’s Cave) – it is a spectacular L-shaped cave. The cave is 40 m long and there is a chimney at the back of the cave. There are also a drop-off and a huge arch. The maximum depth is 16 m. It is recommended only to experienced divers as (due to the shape of the cave) the end and the outside lights are not constantly seen.

Cominotto Rock – it is named due to the numerous rock formations that can be found here: a vertical steep wall (39 m), many swimthroughs, huge boulders and small caverns. There is also an old four-pointed anchor at the bottom. The maximum depth is 50 m and this dive is recommended only to experienced divers as strong currents may occur here.

Elephant Rock of Santa Maria Tunnel the tunnel is 30 m long and the scenery – astonishing. The maximum depth is 6 m so it is the perfect place for snorkellers. The Elephant Rock is a huge rock which looks like an elephant (hence the name).

Location: north-eastern part of Comino

Inner Lantern Point – here one can encounter a nice vertical wall, he boulders, meadows of posidonia and a small cave inside the limestone wall. The maximum depth is about 45 m.

Location: at the north side of the lighthouse

Lantern Point – also called Lighthouse Reef/The Chimney/Ras L-Irqieqa. One can start their dive with the few meter chimney that leads to the limestone plateau with some huge boulders, swimthroughs and tunnels. The maximum depth is 50 m.

Location: the most southwest point of Comino

Santa Maria Caves – also called Comino Caves. These are rather shallow interconnecting grottos and tunnels with amazing sea life. The maximum depth is about 20 m.

Location: northwest of Santa Marija Tunnel

Type of dive: boat dive

Sea bed: rock

Requirements: BSAC Ocean Diver, PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

 


Sultan Rock – here one can see some huge boulders covered with marine flora and also various species of fish. When lucky one can find some pieces of the remains of HMS Sultan. The maximum depth is 18 m.

Location: southeast point of Comino
